PostMark 超簡易マニュアル

こんな感じです.

Unix 系の場合.

	$ wget http://www.netapp.com/ftp/postmark-1_5.c
	$ gcc -O postmark-1_5.c -o postmark
	$ ./postmark

WindowNT系 & Visual C++の場合.

	http://www.netapp.com/ftp/postmark-1_5.c をローカルに保存.
	C:\postmark>cl postmark-1_5.c
	C:\postmark>postmark-1_5.exe

cl.exe (VC++の command line compiler)は "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\bin\cl.exe" などにあります.
path が通っていなければ, 通しておいてください.

PostMarkをとりあえず実行してみる

$ ./postmark

で, 実行する.

pm>

というプロンプトが出るので, "show", "run", "quit" と打ち込む.
実行するとこんな感じ↓です. 赤フォント部がユーザの入力. 緑フォント部がベンチマーク設定の表示. 青フォント部が測定結果の表示.

てな感じで測定ができました.
ただし, この測定は著しい問題があります. 測定時間が1秒しかありません!

各測定結果の意味はこんな↓感じ

ベンチマークの各種設定

先ほどの測定は, オペレーション回数が 500しかないので, 計測としては不十分です.
試行回数を 10000回にするには,

pm>set transactions 10000

とします.
ほどよい回数で実行してみてください. こんな↓感じ. まだ少ないので, もっと増やした方がいいですね.
