The volume of data created by humans, sensors, and computers has explosively increased in recent years. To truly utilize such vast and diverse real-world data, researchers in various research fields should collaborate across field boundaries to solve challenging problems.
Our research group has wider focus on researches based on data engineering for handling large quantities of data, including database engineering, system software, advanced applications, hardware, and algorithms, and three independent laboratories, Toyoda Lab., Yoshinaga, and Goda Lab. tightly collaborate with each other to pursue research.
Our primary research topics include Database Engineering, Web/IoT mining and visualization, Data Integration and Analysis System, and Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics (NLP/CL). Recently, we also pursue fundamental research on practical Machine Learning that is motivated by real-world data.
